Consultations at our Clinic

Our nutrition consultancy is based in Leeds, West Yorkshire and if you are able to come here we look forward to meeting you face to face (view map). However, we also conduct consultations by telephone and have helped English speaking clients from various parts of Europe and further afield.

1. Phone Us
If you are considering a nutrition consultation please call us us on (0113) 249 6197.

If you decide that you would like to go ahead with a consultation we will take a deposit of £22.50. We will either provide you with a link to download a Nutrition Assessment Questionnaire and Food Diary or we can send them by e-mail or post.

Celeriac - High in Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Phosphorus, Potassium, Fiber, Manganese, Vitamin B6 and Magnesium. Works well as a potato and celeriac mash.
2. Complete a Nutrition Assessment Questionnaire and
Food Diary
Prior to your first consultation we will ask you to complete our Nutrition Assessment Questionnaire and keep a Food Diary for 4 to 7 days. Please remember to bring these with you to your first consultation!

I would highly recommend Peter to everyone

3. Your First Consultation at Our Clinic: Assessment
At your first consultation we will clarify your reasons for wanting a nutrition consultation and give you time to 'tell your story'. We will assess your health and your diet as we work through your completed Nutrition Assessment Questionnaire and 7-day Food Diary.

Your first consultation is an assessment appointment. We will outline our initial findings and thoughts to you, mapping out briefly where we go from here.

Your first consultation will last for up to 45 minutes.

4. Your Second Consultation at Our Clinic
Your second consultation will usually be 1 to 2 weeks after the first. At this time we will talk you through your nutrition programme.

Our advice and recommendations will include:

  • Which foods to eat more of / less off
  • Which foods (if any) to cut out
  • Whether you may be intolerant to certain foods and what to do about it
  • Those lifestyle changes which may be appropriate
  • Any laboratory tests that may be useful
  • Whether nutritional supplements are appropriate, and if so which ones

You will receive a comprehensive set of background notes that will make up your Nutrition Programme and we will highlight which parts are most relevant to you. You will also be given some assignments to complete, which will allow us to assess your progress at your subsequent appointments.

As your consultation time comes to a close we will summarise our advice and recommendations as your Personal Action Plan.

Your second appointment will last for up to 60 minutes.

Special Note:
For clients who would prefer the first and second consultations to be combined, just ask when you book your appointment. It does make for a long appointment time (1 hour 45 minutes).

Endive - low in alories, high in Vitamins A & C and fibre. Delicious when wrapped in ham, covered with a cheese sauce and baked.

5. Subsequent Telephone Consultations
We usually recommend that you have a follow up consultation after about 4 weeks. Subsequent appointments will be arranged at appropriate intervals. We will assess your progress towards your health and/or weight goals, check the dietary and lifestyle changes you have made, and fine-tune your nutrition programme as appropriate.

Follow-up appointments last for up to 30 minutes.

You may book as many or as few appointments as you wish, as frequently as you wish. You may stop when you want to.
